Wow. The last 72 hours have been absolutely incredible. I don’t even know where to begin…
What I’ve introduced to you as Cerimone Studio has been a long time coming, yet it got here quicker than I think I expected. Even though every last detail was planned out (which was a feat all on its own, three working women’s schedules are just not easy to coordinate!), it came together at such light speed I am still pinching myself to make sure I am living this moment… that I am really touching the keys on my computer with the tore-up fingers from this weekend’s work on the studio, and that I indeed have gotten to a place where I am not only happily doing what I love, but I am surrounded by people who are equally as passionate.
It’s all still a bit surreal. I mean I still remember meeting Cathy for the very first time on the day of her bachelorette party to Disneyland (because yes, internet girlfriends do eventually meet!), and then Melissa via an email exchange in the middle of the night (much like our current exchanges) when prepping for what became one of the many nights we were to spend together (working that is!)
Next thing you know the three of us are crashing parties, being driven in a limo to parties we were actually invited to, and planning world domination. Oh, sorry, I meant mutual cooperation. We found the place we would call home, we came up with a name (blog on that coming later), signed some papers, had a few sleepless nights, a couple of disagreements… then suddenly, a last minute change of plans and without hesitation, some serious work. We called the troops to help, Thank You by the way to my eternally amazing Mother, Eloisa, aka “Mo” who not only helped tape & prep the space for painting, in the dark, but was also the hero of the weekend by providing us with the drills we had to use to drill through concrete walls & ceiling of our place. Big shout out to our Beta Sisters, Katie, Shera & her fiancée Noah (who coincidentally now has about .02% vested interest in Cerimone Studio), who all also put in a fair share of sweat helping assemble the awesomeness that is Ikea furniture, lastly, USN Chief J. Whitman, who lent us his truck!
