Yesterday I showed you Quinlyn’s hot shoes and a few weeks ago I also shared a little snapshot of their even hotter wedding party. I deem it only appropriate that now I share their whole wedding with you right? Of course!
Swannys “Q & Woos” as they liked to be referred as, were the epitome of sensible and focused. I am not sure if the fact that they are scientists attributed to that demeanor or if they are just that awesome. I think it is the latter, for the stress of wedding planning can really test the limits of any person, but if you’re solid from the start, nothing phases you… and when I say nothing, I mean they were not phased by the fact they were planning a wedding across the country, then having to move/drive across that country (during a storm!), or finding out that a vendor they booked decided to double book himself and not tell them… oh I could go on and on with the list of planning mishaps and how the day was saved, but who really cares about all that because the reality is, that they are married and had an insanely excellent day! Full of smiles, fun, friends from all over (literally… Woos had family here all the way from Africa!) with lots and lots of dancing!
Their color palette paid homage to both their Alma Maters (Florida State & UCLA), shades of blue, with pops of yellow, orange, and hints of silver & gold. The styling was modern and clean, with a bit of mad scientist flair here and there (notice the beakers & science novels below)... including an awesome… uh, lets call it a “live demonstration” of the chemistry these two have together (heads out the gutter yo! It was a mixing of chemicals that got real bright real fast!) and it was hella cool to see!
Their ceremony was held at one of my all-time favorite spots, Centennial Park in Coronado with a reception at the Coronado Community Center… the views there can’t be beat! All images courtesy of Anika London photography.
Totally miss you Q & Woos!!
